This year Piper-Heidsieck partners with one of Vancouver’s most anticipated society events of the year, the Deighton Cup. The event will take place on July 22nd and it’s a horse race that’s much more than just a gambling frenzy!

Sport of kings. Everyone in town talks about it for months in advance, purchasing advance tickets, thinking about what to wear, getting excited…  And of course every respectable hipster will be at this Hastings Racetrack VIP event.

The entry ticket includes lunch and event access for the day as well as the races, of course, during which track regulars and lucky new comers can bet and maybe even win!

Don’t forget the Cocktail Jockey Mixology Competition, in which 10 of British Columbia’s best bartenders try to mix up the best Classic Champagne Cocktail, a classic cocktail featuring our Piper-Heidsieck Cuvée Brut.

Then there’s the Style Stakes Best Dressed Awards which go to best dressed guy and gal. Competition is tough for the ladies with frills, lace, drapery, hats and heels galore, and amongst the men well cut suits are all part of the show.

And the icing on the cake is an important part of funds raised go to Variety-the Children’s Charity, an organization that benefits needy kids and imagine1day, a charity that helps give Ethiopian children an education. Good doing and good looking, all in one event.
