BAPE Takes Over Paris!

Streetwear fans rejoice! This 2nd December the iconic japanese brand A Bathing Ape, also known as BAPE, launched its first french store in Paris. For the occasion, Piper-Heidsieck decked its bottle of Cuvée Brut in the brand’s iconic “ape” camo pattern. This limited-edition magnum is sure to make a cameo in many a hipster’s New Year’s Eve celebration!

Founded back in 1993 by Tomoaki Nagao, a.k.a. Nigo, streetwear label A Bathing Ape quickly became an underground hit with its ape-head logo and omnipresent iconic camouflage print. Boutique openings in Japan and abroad soon followed suit.

Fast forward to Paris’ Bape moment: the brand has finally found its digs, in the very hip Marais neighbourhood, no less.

To celebrate this major event, Bape called upon Piper-Heidsieck to embody the occasion in the most festive of fashion. Behold, a Cuvée Brut magnum reinterpreting that famous camo print in the colours of the French flag – of which corks were obviously popping all night long at the boutique opening party, held on November 30th. But if you missed out, rest assured that you can celebrate with your own – if you’re quick enough. The limited-edition bottle is exclusively on sale at Bape.

Available for the sale price of 90 euros, exclusively at the Bape Boutique (34, rue de la Verrerie, 75004 Paris).
